Brick stitch

 

Did another class recently at The Beaderie, this time for Woven circle-on-circle earrings.



Really wasn't keen on this design as a pair of earrings; I'm more of a stud kind of girl.  So, I decided to make mine into a necklace....

  

 

This was a lot more 'me'.  I don't think brick stitch is going to become a fave - I prefer peyote - but I always like to learn new jewellery techniques.

I have to tell you that I'm really excited that The Beaderie is now stocking superduo beads and I've already made a couple of things with them, but I'll post about that next time.

Spring.......at last!!!

I've been hibernating most of this winter, but am finally back to update this blog; long overdue, I know.

So pleased that spring seems to be on the way.....

....daffodils are about (yay, one of my fave flowers!)
I managed to get all my washing dry on the line yesterday!
No longer feel the need for a thermal vest before leaving the house!

Don't get me wrong, I do love winter, but it's felt really long this year and I'm ready for a bit of sun.
